It is written within the context that there is no one definitive approach to research, but rather that it is a process of asking questions and finding solutions, in the sense of Bakan's (1996) 'significant truths'. At the same time, it shows how insights and methods of teaching and research approaches build a more holistic picture of what might drive researchers to do research; it helps position the origin of active research.
