Q methodology is a conceptual framework and set of procedures used to systematically study the subjective. Since publication of 'The Study of Behavior' by William Stephenson in 1953, Q methodology has become increasingly popular among students of the human sciences interested in scientifically studying the subjective. Q methodology studies have been employed in the fields of education, health care, political science, popular culture, psychology, public policy, sociology, among others.
