This dataset example introduces researchers to one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). One-way ANOVA allows researchers to test the differences between means for a particular variable across two or more groups. This example uses a subset of data from the Pew Research Centers Project for Excellence in Journalism News Coverage Index for 2012. Specifically, we test whether the length of TV news stories differs based on the geographic focus of those stories. Understanding the potential relationship between the focus of news stories and their length can help researchers understand market strategies for TV news shows and how viewers might experience news reports based on whether they watch network or cable news programs. The sample dataset used for this example has been cleaned and organized to make this example easier to follow. Interested readers should read the full documentation for the dataset before using it for research (https://www.journalism.org/datasets/2012-news-coverage-index-data-set/).Direct Prerequisites: Difference in Means t-Test
