A small, private, independent consulting firm housed in a graduate program in the United States tries to provide educational growth for its graduate students while establishing itself professionally. The members of the organization are comprised of a faculty member as the director and graduate students as the associates. Here, we are presented with the organization's core values and ethical standards and their influence on negotiations with a client. Since the organization is and its members are within an educational context, the hourly rates are significantly lower compared to other independent companies. Given that organizational members are students, the ethical standards of their contractual engagements are quite high.
