European education as a complex and interdisciplinary cross-sectional task encompasses a variety of content-related, methodological and didactic challenges. The authors deal with educational science and didactic approaches to European education in border regions, with specific questions of promoting multilingualism and intercultural and transcultural learning as well as with possibilities and opportunities for cross-border cooperation, participation and mobility.
