Francoist and Salazarist Propaganda in the Spanish Colony in Portugal (1933-1939) proposes a new look on the Iberian relations studying the political behaviour of the Spanish colony during the consolidation of the Portuguese New State and the Spanish Civil War. Salazar was afraid of a negative influence of the Spanish Second Republic, particularly thorough its emigrant community in Portugal. After the coup d'Etat in Spain the 18th July 1936 and the subsequent Civil War, the close collaboration between the salazarism and the francoism became the Spanish immigrants in a target of intenses propaganda campaigns with two main objectives: to raise funds to finance the war and to recruit volunteers to combat in Spain. Thus, the Spanish colony was transformed in a nest of francoist agents leaded by the brother of general Franco, Nicolás, who met frencuently with the salazarist government to organize strategies of promotion for the New Spain in Portugal.Sammanfattning: Salazar y el Fascismo Español. Salazar temia a influência negativa da IIª República espanhola, especialmente a través da sua comunidade emigrante en Portugal. Depois do golpe de Estado em Espanha o 18 de Julho de 1936 e da posterior Guerra Civil, a estreita colaboração entre o salazarismo e o franquismo convertiu aos imigrantes espanhóis em alvo de intensas campanhas de propaganda com dois objetivos principais: angariar fundos para financiar a guerra e recrutar voluntários para combater na Espanha. Assim, a colónia espanhola transformou-se num ninho de agentes franquistas dirigidos pelo irmão do general Franco, Nicolás Franco, que mantinha contactos frequentes com o governo salazarista para organizar estratégias de promoção da Nova Espanha em Portugal.
