This Biological Station, under the jurisdiction of the National Parks Administration (Argentina), is located in Iguazú National Park, Misiones Province, at the heart of the last great remnant of the Atlantic Forest. The organizers conceived this work as a way of valuing the efforts of hundreds of people who have passed through its laboratory and the rooms of the first Biological Station within the country's National Parks system. The authors of the accounts are biologists, naturalists, and researchers, who narrate in a colloquial style some of their experiences in this unique place, imbued with a "green mysticism." The book begins with a compilation of data on the current field biological stations in Argentina, an appraisal of the CIES for its role as a promoter of research and knowledge for conservation, and a historical retrospective of this Biological Station. Following that are 12 stories by different authors, protagonists of experiences that took place around CIES. Each of these chapters includes a bibliographic list resulting from each project, as well as 31 photographs that illustrate the elements, moments, and people mentioned in the text. Finally, as testimony to this Center's contribution to Biology, the book lists the new species for science and for Argentina recorded with material or observations from Iguazú National Park, all with their corresponding bibliographic references.

Esta Estación Biológica dependiente de la Administración de Parques Nacionales (Argentina), está ubicada en el Parque Nacional Iguazú, provincia de Misiones, corazón del último gran remanente del bosque atlántico. Los organizadores pensaron esta obra para valorar el trabajo de cientos de personas que han pasado por su laboratorio y por las habitaciones de la primera Estación Biológica del sistema de Parques Nacionales de ese país. Los autores de los relatos son biólogos, naturalistas e investigadores, que nos cuentan de manera coloquial algunas de sus experiencias en este lugar tan singular, cargado de misticismo verde. Comienza con una recopilación de los datos de las estaciones biológicas de campo actuales en Argentina, una valoración del CIES por su rol como impulsor de la investigación y el conocimiento para la conservación y una retrospectiva histórica de esta Estación Biológica. Siguen 12 relatos de distintos autores, protagonistas de historias que se desarrollaron en torno al CIES. Todos estos capítulos poseen un listado bibliográfico producto de cada proyecto y 31 fotografías que ilustran elementos, momentos y personas mencionadas en el texto. Finalmente, como un testimonio del aporte de este Centro a la Biología, se enumeran las especies nuevas para la ciencia y para Argentina con material o registros del PN Iguazú, todas con sus correspondientes citas bibliográficas.
