With an engaging narrative, Santos Dumont at the Falls by Micael Alvino da Silva transports us to the final decades of the 19th century and the early 20th century, helping us understand what was happening in the world and at the tri-border region when Alberto Santos Dumont visited the Iguaçu Falls in 1916. Structured as a series of short essays, the chapters are arranged to highlight different aspects of the famous aviator's journey, always connecting them to the land of Naipi. Nearly one hundred years after the aviator's death, Santos Dumont's unusual visit to the Falls finally becomes a book. It is with great joy that EDUNILA, in partnership with the 100 Fronteiras Institute and with the support of Itaipu Binacional and the Iguaçu Fund, brings this story to the public through the words of Micael Alvino da Silva.

Com um texto agradável, Micael Alvino da Silva, em Santos Dumont nas Cataratas, nos transporta às últimas décadas do século XIX e início do XX, para compreender o que acontecia no mundo e na fronteira trinacional quando Alberto Santos Dumont visitou as Cataratas do Iguaçu, em 1916. Na forma de pequenos ensaios, os capítulos são encadeados de modo a realçar, cada qual, um aspecto da trajetória do célebre aviador, sempre relacionando com a terra de Naipi. Quase cem anos depois da morte do aviador, finalmente, a insólita visita de Santos Dumont às Cataratas, se torna livro. É com grande alegria que a EDUNILA, em pareceria com o Instituto 100 Fronteiras e com o apoio da Itaipu Binacional e do Fundo Iguaçu, pelas letras de Micael Alvino da Silva, entrega esta história ao público.
