Ämnen: Onlineresurser: Sammanfattning: This anthology explores various aspects of rehearsing in different subjects, such as mathematics, English and pedagogy. The articles show how rehearsing can be included as a central factor in teacher education and the implications this has for the teaching of subjects, subject didactics and general didactics. This collection presents the work and reflections of researchers and practitioners, including campus teachers, practicum teachers, and preservice teachers. More specifically, the anthology examines rehearsals and critical observations and analyses of these rehearsals, with the aim of developing teaching competence through reflective teaching practices. The articles demonstrate the importance of alternating between rehearsing, practising, and reflecting on one's own and others' teaching to develop rich and reflective professional teaching repertoires. The concept of core practices provides a useful analytical framework through which rehearsing can be examined. Indeed, core practices constitute a set of strategies, routines and activities that can be described as objects of rehearsals in teacher education. This anthology on rehearsing for teaching makes reflection more active and action more reflective, thereby contributing significantly to the field of practice-based teacher education.
