By reconstructing and contextualizing Schopenhauer's key political ideas, this book challenges the common view that Schopenhauer is an apolitical philosopher. Schopenhauer believed that politics could help mitigate conflict and make existence more bearable, but never heal a fundamentally imperfect world.
