This book brings together a series of studies about theatrical monologues, or literary texts which lend themselves to some sort of dramatization and theatrical production, performed by well known mythical characters or inspired by them. Each chapter is devoted to a contemporary fictional (and/or theatrical) text which is considered both relevant and useful for the academic learning of any graduate or postgraduate student in the different areas of expertise dealing with Arts and Humanities, such as Degrees in Classical Studies, English Studies, French Studies, Spanish Studies, Literary Theories and Comparative Literature, East Asian Studies and Gender Studies, among others.

Este libro reúne una serie de estudios sobre monólogos teatrales, o sobre textos literarios que se prestan a la dramatización y teatralización, pronunciados por personajes famosos del mito o inspirados en ellos. Cada capítulo está dedicado a una propuesta textual (y/o performativa) contemporánea, concreta y de utilidad para el currículo universitario de cualquier estudiante de grado o posgrado de disciplinas de Humanidades, como los Grados en Estudios Ingleses, Filología Hispánica, Filología Francesa, Filología Clásica, Humanidades, Teoría de la Literatura y Literatura Comparada, Estudios de Asia Oriental, o Estudios de Género, entre otros.
