One of the objectives of the book is to analyze the subjective processes of Jewish people's break with Zionism. In a way, the author presents us with a map of access to the pedagogical mechanisms activated by the "Zionist device" to produce "being a Zionist" and whose main objective is to make the defense of the State of Israel fully coincide with Judaism. The processes of breaking with the truths internalized in primary and secondary socialization had a double effect: on the one hand, the reinterpretation of the place that the State of Israel came to have in their lives, from a referent of justice to that of a racist and colonial entity, on the other, the encounter with the ethical-philosophical values of Jewishness, unfolding in public engagement with the Palestinian cause.

Um dos objetivos do livro é analisar os processos subjetivos de rompimento de pessoas judias com o sionismo. De certa forma, a autora nos apresenta um mapa de acesso aos mecanismos pedagógicos acionados pelo "dispositivo sionista" para produzir o "ser sionista" e que tem como principal objetivo fazer coincidir inteiramente à defesa do Estado de Israel com o judaísmo. Os processos de rompimento com as verdades interiorizadas nas socializações primárias e secundárias tiveram um duplo efeito: por um lado, a releitura do lugar que o Estado de Israel passou a ter em suas vidas, de referente de justiça para o de uma entidade racista e colonial, por outro, o encontro com os valores éticos-filosóficos da judaicidade, desdobrando-se no engajamento público com a causa palestina.
