Within the specialities of podiatry, podiatric surgery is the branch of medicine responsible for the non-conservative treatment of diseases and conditions affecting the feet and ankles. This discipline is essential for maintaining the health and well-being of our feet, as they are a vital part of our body and allow us to move around and carry out our daily activities. Due to the invasive procedures involved, it is essential to have a perfect knowledge of the anatomy, histology and healing of the tissues involved in order to reduce the risk of poor surgical results. In this book, the basic concepts of podiatric surgery will be covered, including the knowledge and basic surgical techniques that will be used to treat conditions such as hallux abductus valgus, claw toes, neuromas, cysts, onychocryptosis...
