On May 24, 2024, the Communication Section of the Department of Philosophy, Communication and Information of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra closed the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the Journalism Course with a colloquium in honor of one of the founders of the course and the greatest name in the field in Portugal, Mário Mesquita. It was a moment that brought together academics, students and professionals to think about journalism today in the light of Mário Mesquita's legacy.

A 24 de maio de 2024, a Secção de Comunicação do Departamento de Filosofia, Comunicação e Informação da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra encerrou, pois, as comemorações dos 30 anos do Curso de Jornalismo com um colóquio em homenagem a um dos fundadores do curso e nome maior da área em Portugal, o Doutor Mário Mesquita. Foi um momento que reuniu académicos, estudantes e profissionais para pensar o jornalismo hoje à luz do pensamento legado por Mário Mesquita.
