The article briefly describes three examples of post-truth era discourse by pointing to three examples of rhetorical figures (antonomasia, aposiopoesis, apocalyptic) in the statements of Elizabeth Homes, Elon Musk, and Alexander Dugin. They all represent un-democratic, cultic ways of speaking that can be described as anti-modern and anti-modernist because they negate the notion of truth as constantly sought and discovered. Instead of such a modern understanding, according to the author, these three figures either represent a fraud or propose to accept the revealed or revelatory truth, and not the truth of liberal democracy, subject to criticism, dialogue and falsification. The article is based on examples from the contemporary media discourse and popular science works. The analysis of figures presented in the article is a fragment, but the author's intention is to be representative of the communication processes taking place in the present day. This analysis represents materials for a dictionary of discourse figures of the post-truth era.
