En este capítulo se estudia el patrimonio inmueble monumental desde una perspectiva ética. Se analiza su papel en la sociedad como engranaje de identidad de las comunidades con las que convive, así como los mecanismos que actúan para su aceptación social. Además, se exponen los valores universales que poseen y los procedimientos que hoy en día utilizan para su restauración.
