This volume critically examines the essential content and competencies required for the preparation of prospective French language teachers within the framework of contemporary, modularised teacher education programmes and competency-based foreign language instruction. Über welche Inhalte und Kompetenzen sollten angehende Französisch-Lehrkräfte verfügen? Was macht eine zeitgemäße und umfassende Vermittlung im Studium aus? Im Kontext der Modularisierung des Lehramtsstudiums und der Kompetenzorientierung des Fremdsprachenunterrichts stellen sich diese Fragen aus der Perspektive der Fachwissenschaften, der Fachdidaktik und auch der Hochschuldidaktik. Im vorliegenden Band reflektieren die Autorinnen und Autoren in ihren Beiträgen über eine adäquate Ausgestaltung des Linguistik-Unterrichts im Lehramtsstudium und über die dafür notwendigen didaktischen und fachwissenschaftlichen Voraussetzungen der Lehrenden. Am Beispiel der französischen Sprachgeschichte, des Modus Subjonctif, der Lexikologie, der Fehlerkorrektur und der Pragmatik zeigen die Beiträge jeweils kompetenzorientierte Bezüge fachwissenschaftlicher Inhalte zur hochschulischen sowie zur schulpraktischen Vermittlung auf.
