This third volume of texts, resulting from the various sessions of the Conference Cycle "From manuscript to printed and electronic book" (fifth and sixth editions), follows on our aim of promoting research and scientific dissemination in the area of the History of the Book and of Publishing, within the scope of the BA in Languages and Publishing Studies and the Master's in Publishing Studies. One of the main objectives of this scientific-pedagogical project continues to be to encourage and deepen the articulation between research and teaching, providing first and second cycle students with privileged contact with different specialists, experts in matters related to the history of publishing and publishing production. Furthermore, the development of this initiative has been strengthening and consolidating the already long and fruitful cooperation between the Department of Languages and Cultures and the University of Coimbra Press.

Este terceiro volume de textos, decorrente das várias sessões do Ciclo de Conferências "Do manuscrito ao livro impresso e eletrónico" (quinta e sexta edições), vem dar seguimento ao nosso propósito de promover a investigação e divulgação científica na área da História do Livro e da Edição, no âmbito da Licenciatura em Línguas e Estudos Editoriais e do Mestrado em Estudos Editoriais. Um dos principais objetivos deste projeto de cariz científico-pedagógico continua a ser o de fomentar e aprofundar a articulação entre investigação e ensino, proporcionando aos alunos do primeiro e do segundo ciclos um contacto privilegiado com diferentes especialistas, peritos em matérias relacionadas com a história da edição e com a produção editorial. Ademais, o desenvolvimento desta iniciativa vem estreitando e consolidando a já long e profícua cooperação entre o Departamento de Línguas e Culturas e a Imprensa da Universidade de Coimbra.
