War is a constant in the agendas of the History subject throughout the secondary period and a recurring element in other subjects of Social Sciences and Baccalaureate. This is nothing more than a symptom of a devastating reality for societies of all times and, especially, of the Modern Age. Some data indicated by historian Geoffrey Parker evidence this fact in his work: for example, Entre1618 and 1678, Spain was in peace only 3 years (Parker, 2008: 117). In the cursed century, Parker mentions that only during 1610, 1670 and 1682 war between European states in that century was arrested. In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, 95%of the years knew some contest (Parker, 2013: 78-80). The omnipresence of the war and, therefore, it is worth using it as a backbone of the contents is evident. However, this text does not intend to defend a traditional perspective based on the transmission of dates and milestones by the teacher unidirectionally, but another that is a pretext for, from the war, to talk about the set of factors that make up the study of an eraconcrete historical, in this case the modern age, or of a reality object of analysis through various elements that are conditioned by the military: government and power structures, society, value system, economy, culture, characters, art and arteven legacy and memory.
