Diet and physical activity are important components of a healthy lifestyle that influence the parameters that determine metabolic syndrome. Treatments of metabolic syndrome elucidate the biology or pharmacology of metabolic disorders. The pathophysiology underlying obesity and METS involves genetic predisposition, dietary habits, lifestyle choices, and environmental exposures. New knowledge of the risk of METS to CVD will allow individuals within the society to make an informed lifestyle choice given the dynamics of cardiovascular diseases masked by indigenous knowledge systems in other sectors of the society. When a mother is obese and consumes a high-fat diet, her offspring may experience hyperphagia and become more susceptible to fat deposition. It is anticipated that the findings will not only enhance the understanding of metabolic health but also pave the way for tailored approaches to bridge the gap between dietary choices and optimal gut microbial balance in the context of prediabetes.
