Buildings celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2023. During this time, Buildings has achieved a lot. Indeed, its number of published papers, rejection rate, number of full-text downloads, number of citations received by published papers, Impact Factor, and submission-to-publication time have all consistently improved. The scope of the journal is comprehensive and includes almost every aspect of building design, construction, and operation. The Editorial Board is composed of a relatively small but wonderful mix of highly accomplished and well-established academics and practitioners, representing many countries in turn. Many members and non-members of the Editorial Board of Buildings contributed to the "10th Anniversary" Special Issue by writing papers in their respective areas of expertise, thus reflecting the scope of the journal and covering historical trends, current challenges, the state of the art, creative and innovative solutions, and future developments in building science, engineering, and management. With this Special Issue, Buildings is clearly an important player in the publication of high-quality research papers on diverse building-related issues.
