For this, part of a conception of the sign similar to that reflected. If in the space of semasiology, which has always been traditionally taken into account, there are no initial precautions, in that of onomasiology, which must start from the concepts in the search for the respective signifiers, there are difficulties, since not all theLinguists accept the independent existence of the concepts, without conditioning by the language. To overcome these inconveniences Baldinger replaces the term concept with that of mental object. This terminological substitution is not enough and therefore its student and friend K. Heger participates in the debate with the trapezoidal solution of the sign, which allows the transition from the object to the concept and from this to the meaning through the semese. At present, K. Baldinger's proposal is reinforced through the analysis of the neurolinguistic behavior of our brain. In the field of lexicography and etymology its effort for the modernization of disciplines is commendable, because it does not accept the separation between historical and etymological dictionaries, although its objectives differ, since etymology is not only origin, but history ofThe words.Apart from its initially positive consideration of linguistic immanentism, it enters dictionaries to encyclopedic knowledge, which implies a contextual projection with certain pragmatic nuances.
