The volume reconstructs, through the biographies of three key figures of the 20th century—nationalist leader Vasilij Šul'gin, officer Aleksej von Lampe, and painter Il'ja Glazunov—the interactions between nationalist, conservative, and monarchist movements, the key figures involved, and the influence of far-right ideologies within the context of Imperial, Soviet, and post-Soviet Russia. The volume provides insight into the continuity of these movements in exile and the influence of far-right political ideas and practices during the late Soviet era, offering an analysis of internal dynamics, ideological divergences, and influences from European contexts, with particular attention to the reception of fascist movements.

Il volume ricostruisce attraverso le biografie di tre protagonisti del XX secolo - il leader nazionalista Vasilij Šul'gin, l'ufficiale Aleksej von Lampe e il pittore Il'ja Glazunov – le interazioni tra movimenti nazionalisti, conservatori e monarchici, le figure chiave e l'influenza delle ideologie di estrema destra nel contesto della Russia imperiale, sovietica e post-sovietica. Il volume offre uno sguardo sulla continuità di questi movimenti nell'emigrazione e sull'influenza delle idee e delle pratiche politiche dell'estrema destra nella tarda età sovietica con un'analisi delle dinamiche interne all'area, le divergenze ideologiche e le influenze provenienti da contesti europei, con particolare attenzione alla recezione dei fascismi.
