Ämnen: Onlineresurser: Sammanfattning: This book aims to provide a perspective on access to public services in the lives of marginalized Roma in Slovakia. Public services are broadly understood here to include social and employment services, health care, education, amenities such as shops and restaurants, and municipal infrastructure. The research for this book was conducted using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. Data were gathered in three localities in eastern Slovakia through focus groups, individual in-depth interviews, and a questionnaire survey. In this way, the book seeks to offer a comprehensive understanding of the barriers Roma face in accessing public services in everyday life. The data analyzed, summarized, and presented in this book will serve as a valuable source of information for the development of data-driven policies at the local, regional, and national levels, thereby contributing to the broader effort to enhance the social integration of Roma populations in Slovakia.
