The field of neology has received intensively university care since at least the 80s of the last century in the great languages ​​of culture and especially in Romanesque languages, object of this monograph. Today we find a solid scientific corpus, with specialized magazines that dedicate attention to this topic, in addition to recurring scientific events focused on neology such as the different congresses organized under the Cineus brand: International Congress of Neology of LanguagesRomanesque In the midst of such a scientific boiling around the lexical dynamics of languages, we have considered answering the general question of what the most pressing intellectual challenges would be in the field of neology in Romanesque languages.Different possibilities of response to this problem are found in the twelve contributions that we present in this volume and that, if they do not refer to all Romanesque languages, take into account Spanish, French, Italian, Catalan, Portuguese (in their versionsBrazilian and European) and the Valón dialect in a rare polyglot attempt in scientific disciplines, each day more focused on the most diffusion languages.
