Digitization and environmental sustainability are two cornerstones of the new competitive systems. The Green Deal and the Next Generation EU plan launched by the European Union, within which the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRP) is situated and from which most of the economic policy initiatives of recent years descend, clearly place the so-called twin transition at the center of the development strategies of economic and social systems. This volume presents the results of the research project coordinated by Edoardo Della Torre and carried out by the MEIEC center of the University of Milan in collaboration with Federchimica with the aim of analyzing the impact of digital and ecological transformations on companies in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. The focus is centered on the need for new skills and the need for restructuring of organizational roles and responsibilities, including in terms of possible emerging job positions.

La digitalizzazione e la sostenibilità ambientale rappresentano due punti cardine dei nuovi sistemi competitivi. Il Green Deal e il piano Next Generation EU lanciati dall'Unione Europea, entro i quali si colloca il Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza (PNRR) e dai quali discende gran parte delle iniziative di politica economica degli ultimi anni, pongono chiaramente la cosiddetta twin transition tal centro delle strategie di sviluppo dei sistemi economici e sociali. In questo volume sono presentati i risultati del progetto di ricerca coordinato da Edoardo Della Torre e realizzato dal centro MEIEC dell'Università degli Studi di Milano in collaborazione con Federchimica con l'obiettivo di analizzare l'impatto delle trasformazioni digitale ed ecologica sulle aziende del settore chimico e farmaceutico. Il focus è centrato sul fabbisogno di nuove competenze e sulle necessità di ristrutturazione dei ruoli e delle responsabilità organizzative, anche in termini di eventuali posizioni di lavoro emergenti.
