Aware of the barriers between scientists and the community, our team challenged itself to create, in 2020, the Brain Gain project with the main objective of highlighting the quality of work carried out in Neuroscience in Portugal and also what Portuguese neuroscientists do around the world. In addition, we wanted to: show the diversity of professions that exist in this context and inspire young students to pursue this field. In this way, the project has contributed to laying the necessary foundations for the dissemination and democratisation of knowledge in neuroscience in an accessible and simple way and for bringing the student community closer to this scientific field. Our team is interdisciplinary, bringing together scientists, science communicators, illustrators and much more! Para além disso, quisemos: mostrar a diversidade de profissões que existe neste contexto e inspirar jovens estudantes a seguirem esta área. Desta forma, o projeto tem contribuído para a construção dos alicerces necessários para a divulgação e democratização do conhecimento em Neurociências de forma acessível e simples e para a aproximação da comunidade estudantil a este meio científico.
